I didn't read this, but I'm doing it now. You wrote something from your life because it happens to all of us, but you wrote it in 50 words and made me laugh. Now that I have your number I won't miss your smile. Thank you. :)

Wow! Now this was a surprise! :) :) Thanx for dropping by for this self-deprecating write -- and I'm so glad it made you smile! :) :) And thank you for those beautiful stars...started a 'ho-hum' Friday off on the right foot!! :) :) You be sure to have a wonderful weekend of sunshine and a healthy dose of fresh-baked cookies! :) :) Yvette :)

This fifty-word story, One of Those Days, mirrors a lot of readers' lives as the absent-mindedness spreads a broader pattern of instances. Everything's in the last place you look though.

This happens to me a lot. It drives me crazy. But losing something does have advantages as you point out. You find something else that you've been missing. Life is a Merry-Go-Round, right?

Now this would be funny if it didn't remind me so much of myself that I cried-haha. Great explanation of everyday events in the life of a person who once had a mind. Best of luck.

Glad you related to this one, frogbook, as it was meant to be humorously auto-biographical!! :) :) LOL! Thanx for stopping by for the quick read and review -- your comments are very much appreciated! Here's wishing for you a wonderful week of sunshine and a healthy dose of fresh-baked cookies! :) ;)

Are we related? (LOL) Isn't it fun being organized? Rushing out the door? I know your story is fun. I think it's something common to most of us, and I'll bet your readers will love it! Good luck in the contest. :))

Thanx for stopping by for the quick read and review, Dawn, and I am really glad to hear that I'm not the only one usually rushing (the glasses are just an added insanity - lol)!! :) ;) I do always love hearing from you, and I wish you a wonderful week of sunshine and a healthy dose of fresh-baked cookies! :) ;)

Your story reminds me of when my grandma used to ask me where her glasses were, and they were right there on the countertop... I didn't even stop to think that she couldn't see without them LOL Love your story, reminds me of a typical day in my life. Haha good luck in the contest

Thanx for stopping by for the quick read and review, Judy, and I am really glad I made you smile -- love it when the words work the way they were meant to!! :) ;) And I'm not to the point of needing mine to see the big wide world...just need them if I want to see it in crisp, clear detail! Oh, and words? Yeah, those are pretty much gone without the ol' spectacles (unless, of course, I set my e-reader to LARGE print -- ha!!). Appreciate the comments and be sure to have a wonderful week of sunshine and a healthy dose of fresh-baked cookies! :) ;)

Good grief, I can't tell you how many times I misplace my reading glasses in a single day.
Something will happen with either the dogs or Oscar, my pet pot bellied pig and the latest edition to our zoo, and I'll inadvertently take 'em off my head and lay them down...then forget where I laid 'em.
That's why I keep about five pairs, just in case.
Three or four days later I'll run across the ones I misplaced.
It's a vicious cycle, lol.
Good luck to you in the contest.
~Dean ;-)))

Five could never be enough around here, sir -- my husband (the inspiration for my little flash here) has at least 12+ pair between 'around the house', 'around the workshop', and, of course, in his truck (sometimes!!!). :) :) And I'm not to the point of needing mine to see the big wide world...just need them if I want to see it in crisp, clear detail! Yep, just one of those days. I think we have all had them. I once rushed out of the house to go do a work out and found I had left the house with my comfy slippers on when I reached my destination. Needless to say I had to borrow a pair of sneakers. I laughed! I enjoyed your entertaining story and thank you for bringing back some funny memories. ~DD

Okay, we had a guy at the office do the same thing...funny thing was, NO ONE in his morning meeting noticed....I told him it was because they were all guys!! Both myself and the tech-support lady noticed it almost immediately -- he just stayed at his desk mostly for the rest of the day!! :) :) I told him to just 'own it' -- they looked like comfortable loafers anyway!! :) ;) As always, appreciate the comments and be sure to have a wonderful week of sunshine and a healthy dose of fresh-baked cookies! :) ;)
