Hi Carlie, this is a well written loop poem and a good entry to the contest. Spoken from the point of view of the dog it is sweetly done. I read your author notes - I'm glad that this little dog has come under your care. Your loop reads well - the loop is subtle and does not sound contrived, each line leading seamlessly into place. I am leaving out all apostrophes on purpose to spare you the crazy symbols that appear unbidden in our writing when using Apple products on FanStory. What a cold, cruel and callous thing it is to just abandon a defenseless dog.
People who do such things should know that there's a very good reason that D-O-G spells GOD in reverse.
Their day of reckoning will arrive soon enough.
Shadow looks like a happy, handsome fellow. May you both bond and become the very best of friends.

Thank you for taking that poor dog in. There is a special place in heaven for those who are kind to animals. I have taken un strays as well much to my husband's chagrin!( he's allergic). :) Thanks for this, I love the poem and picture.

I think this is why man and dog are such friends, because they understand each other so well. Dogs are sometimes afraid the same as man and can be sad and lonely too, your words are touching, love Dolly x

He is a wonderful dog, it?s sad when things like that happen. But it?s in the past and he is doing a lot better. Thank you for your kind words and feedback! I really appreciate it!!
