Wow, this is not an object piece, it's an intellectual piece and I like it. Very deep meaning behind this simple, 14 word septolet. Makes one wonder...I love the image of the solitary, empty chair. The black and white adds to the ambiance of the piece itself. This is a very strong contender in my book and I wish you well. Yes, silence can breed thought, but can also awaken and speak for the thought itself. Very profound, dear writer.

I count 14 words broken into two stanzas--not evenly divided like the last entry I read, but I don't guess the rules say the division has to be equal. I think the picture you have chosen as an illustration is a perfect compliment to your poem. Good luck with your contest entry!

Thank you for sharing. It does appear that your poem meets the criteria of the contest you have entered. I count 14 words broken into two stanzas--not evenly divided like the last entry I read, but I don't guess the rules say the division has to be equal. I think the picture you have chosen as an illustration is a perfect compliment to your poem. Good luck with your contest entry!
