Kids are a full-time job and they grow up so fast it seems just like yesterday they were small now they are grown and have kids of their own.

Thank you for the excellent review and for taking the time to read my story! Yes, time hurries past, and I long for those sweet days. Any sacrifices seem long forgotten when I look into the eyes of my grandchildren.
All my best to you and yours,
    Sally

This was great! I was expecting at first it was about an actual night shift at a factory or something. As I read more I realized I have had that night shift several times! lol, My kids are older now and I am not a grandmother. So I get to sleep all through the night unless my bladder wakes me up. hehe
Love your writing and the detail of it all. No additions or subtractions.
Happy Writing,
Katy

I?m so glad you could stop by and review my life story. My truest and purest career. What a precious and sweet calling motherhood is. I had fun with this piece and any sacrifices I made was so worth it!

This reads in one breath. It is a true story and for new mothers-- a valuable lesson. "A calling from above" The birth of your three children have probably taught you and the kids to be God-centered. I am not a mother but I can sense the love for and devotion to these gifts from God.

You are welcome. I had a brief glance at your work. I post only poetry and do not usually review Fiction& Non-Fiction. I hope I can review some poetry of yours in future,

This is the first I have read of your writing and I must say, I'm impressed. Very well written. From your description, I am guessing you lived around Tonawanda, New York. That's where I lived during the sixties and where I had my first four kids. I can truly relate to the cold toilet seats LOL. My fifth child was born in Calif. What a relief and I loved it, and miss it tremendously. Now, I'm a misplaced southerner. Look forward to reading more of your work.

You are spot on! North Tonawanda! I miss it most this time of the year when the apples are in season and the fall foliage is all around. It is so beautiful to view it all from Skylon Tower overlooking Niagara Falls. The panoramic view of the autumnal foliage is absolutely breathtaking. I don?t miss the ice laden toilet seats, that?s for sure. Precious years with my family and some good stories to tell. Thank you so much for the excellent review. I appreciate it so much.
Kind regards to you and yours,

A great topic! A mothers job is never done. I believe that we have no choice but to be workaholics! What choice do we have!? I really enjoyed the pace and length of this piece. I'm glad to have read of! Good luck in the contest!

Thank you so much for giving me your time and for the excellent review. I appreciate it so much! Mothering is a wonderful profession and not for the faint of heart. I am glad I had those years and wouldn?t trade them for anything. If I made you smile and laugh, my work is complete!
Kindest regards to you and yours,

I think the diary style was good for giving this a personal touch, letting us be there with you in all these trials and tribulations; the cold house, the labor, the night shifts, and how you have to juggle all these things to keep things going. You give us all these regimented time schedules and that reinforces it. It's the tale of modern life; gone are the days of the defined roles of men and women that made for more compatible relationships. The contemporary life style is not family friendly. estory

Ah, thanks for the kind and detailed review. I appreciate it so much ! I was such a southern powder puff! I wouldn?t trade it for anything in the world. I agree with you, this world is not looking family friendly to me either.
Kindest regards to you and yours. I hope you are well and good.

I don't do cold at all! I don't know how you managed to, coming from the south. But you did! You children must be quite hardy having been brought up in the freezing cold, apart from son number 3, lol. I enjoyed your story on working the night shift, loved the way you named it. Fun times that made some fabulous memories. :) Sandra xx

Thank you, Earl. To his defense, he was faultless the rest of the way. To this day, he is hard to wake up during the night. He is such a sound sleeper. I am not. I sleep with one foot out of bed. Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind review!

This work has reached the exceptional level

My dear lovely Dorothy in our days of children baring she gave to me four daughters. Then two years later she said to me the she was pregnant again. My first thought was wow will it be five in a row? Nay, out came Gregory. Now when people ask me if I have any children I reply with pride my children are like a very strong poker hand, five queens and a wild kind jack. Time flies by, the youngest is now thirty four years old.
God bless you sally,
Ray

A sixer, ah thank you Ray. Blessing and thanks to you. I am glad you liked my humor in child bearing. I wouldn?t trade it for anything. Our oldest is 38, yikes! They are all very close and love each other and God. I am blessed. Kind regards to you and your queens and sweet Jack. My Jack is so sweet, too!
