Sugarray77, I think you have done a grand job with this lighthearted and well thought out story. I can imagine it took some effort to not include the letter - a. This short piece reads with flow, makes sense and has a nice added theme to tie the whole story together. Great job on this enjoyable read. ~DD

Thanks DD. It is a challenge to write without the letter a, I must admit. It was a fun puzzle-like project and kept me from my housework. Ha, ...but hey, we must sacrifice for the arts. Lol

Amazing how we can manage without the letter A when we need to and even end up telling an interesting story - a story of fun and frolic and laughter - well done - an achievement!

Very well done and without the letter "a". How adorable, this picture is perfect for your piece. I live on a lake and we have three otters that frequent our dock. It's hard to get a good close up picture of them. Very well done. Best wishes for your contest.
Kind regards,
Sally

You effortlessly write this story without a single "A" that I can find. Well done. Otters are very playful creatures and you have described them well. Good job!

-I really like the image; it
fits your story well.
-I did not find a letter A, either!
-The first paragraph provides
a good beginning, as it
paints a picture of life on the pond.
-You capture the frolicking of
the otters very well, too.
-I like how they made a slide,
and life on the pond was never the same!
-Good luck in the contest.

I love otters and you did a wonderful job of bringing them to life. Cute story. Unfortunately I did find a few letter a's that could disqualify you. Fortunately they all look like easy fixes.
birds and insects
and very noisy tricks
slowness and boredom.
and found one
with a groove through its center
