This poem, Dog Dog, is very precious and meaningful to me and , I'm sure. many other readers. An experience with a stuffed toy lasts forever.

I think most have a special toy that's possibly hidden away in the corner of their memory or mind, to remind them of a special toy. (I don't think any of mine lasted long enough to make an impression. A beautifully written entry in this contest in slightly changing lined syllable count, abcb rhymed quatrains, well done, good entry, good luck, blessings, Roy

A very well-written poem about a favorite toy. It seems we all prefer the one in a million toys that stands out above all the other commercial toys, the one that seems uniquely handmade with love.

Isn't it wonderful how something so simple could be such an important part of childhood? A stuffed animal (or Raggedy Ann doll, in my case) would go on every adventure, absorb every tear, and keep every secret.
Very well written.
Best of luck in the contest.

I think it is a very sweet, not silly story! Well written with great pace and flow. It's amazing how certain inanimate items can mean the world to us. Excellent. Hugh

Yes, we all had favorite toys as kids. It was so much fun reading about yours, which Dog Dog seemed like a comfort blanket.

Unfortunately, these days kids' favorite toys'are video games, which sometimes stripped children of imagination and creativity.

I love this poem.

You are so right about video games. They are so realistic that no imagination is required. Kind of makes me sad. Thanks so much for taking time to read my poem.

This is a cute poem about a favorite toy. It makes me smile and it's a cozy feeling. You're right, I'm sure we all have had that favorite toy. I remember a stuffed doll I had. She was purple and 3 feet tall. I can remember dragging her along the floor everywhere I went. Even as an adult, I didn't quite want to give her up.

The only question I have is in this sentence:

"than he started to fall apart." Do you mean then?

Other than that, I think think this poem is excellent. I love the rhyming and it flows nicely.
