I really like your 5-7-5 poem. I thought it was fascinating that you had a wolf for a pet. Very heartwarming. I wish you good luck in the competition. Best wishes. Jen.

Ohhh...How sad, left all alone. This is a nice little 5-7-5 pet entry.
I wish you luck! ~Kerry

I actually saw a wolf running powerfully down the hill, just before the turn up my road. I was coming home from work around midnight. What an honor. What a beautiful tribute this poem is to your boy. I'm sorry for your deep losses. I hope the reader can gain some appreciation of the spirit of the wolf and work to save them. Thank you. You have my vote.

What a poignant poem. You know, wolves do that to me. You don't think first of their fierceness. You think of their gentleness. This is a good entry. Good luck in the contest.

You did a good job, Mystery Author, with your pet entry. Your syllables are correct per line. The picture is super, too. Thanks for the notes. Best wishes. Jan

Very nice. As so often with wild things, we are often given no notice of their final goodbye. A nice contrast between the dangerous perception of a wolf and the gentle goodbye. Poem has a bittersweet melancholy in it that I like. Excellent. Hugh

The concept is unique, a gentile wolf. I guess that means he won't eat me. The word of God promises that one day all animals would display this characteristic.

Thank you for the excellent rating and the comments. He seemed to have gotten his gentleness through his sire, who got it through his dam, who was bottle raised.

This is a very well written 5-7-5 poem about Lonewolf. You used very good descriptive words and very sweet picture of the wolf. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings, Teri

Very well done on your unique verse about a unique pet. I would say that your short verse is reminiscent of a lost love instead of a pet. Either way, it's gives a sense of loss at a relationship that is no more. Good read.

Thank you, and yes it could read that way, but Lonewolf was a very special pet, whom I did and still do love, though he is no longer around. The excellent review is most welcome.

Ah, sad. It doesn't take long to fall completely in love with an animal. They are so accepting of their humans. It's as if we were Gods. Good 5-7-5, and I counted the syllables. Good luck in the contest.
