yes, those were the days the old west and the colt 45. it did help tame the wild west some. can you imagine if it was like that in todays time. Good luck and have a great day

    Going by the amount of guns and the arsenals some people have it appears that good part of the American population hasn't yet realised that the Far West finished a long time ago.

I know of one FanStory member with a fondness for the Wild West. I wonder if it is you, mystery writer.
Those cowboys did have a swag. Guess it was from riding horses and wearing guns around their waists. That is hard to imagine but not so long ago.
Tough times back then, but the tumbleweed kept rolling on.
I enjoyed your poem. I particularly like your refreshing topic.

    You hit the nail on the head..

    They were definitely troubled harsh times for everyone and then ,in contrast ,you have the simple existence of the tumbleweed that just rolls along untouched by the tragedy of people's lives.
