This outstanding work with the meter and rhyme perfect in my eyes. the especially liked the way you brought the seasons and plants into view to represent a summer's love, fall's fading and winter's death. No reason, that's just a seasonal thing. What's left memories, dry stalks and faded flowers. Well done.

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing my seasonal sonnet. It may have been premature, the cool front and showers passed and August is still here. And thanks again for the six!

A very well-written Sonnet contemplating the end of summer and the coming winter. We are near at the end of our winter, but it snowed in the Southern parts of the country and we expect some very cold conditions by Sunday evening.

That still impresses me, the inversion of the seasons below the Line, and the fact that it snows more the further South you go...
thanks very much for reading and reading my seasonal sonnet. I was a bit early, it's still hot August in Georgia....

Very good, although sad. Why is so much poetry sad, I wonder.

and all that flashes in your eyes is ice <--terrific line!

here comes the chill<--another good one, to be taken two ways. :)

A cool front with clouds and showers made me think of the season coming next, and now August is back with a vengeance. Thanks very much for reading and reviewing.

This poem is filled with the dreary chill that many of us associate with November. I particularly like the line ''a soundless, scentless farewell fills the air''
Thank you for sharing! Blessings, Therese

Well written poem! It has a really nice rhyme to it. I can very much relate to the seasonal changes as I have been in one such place. I really liked the poem..

Here in the mountains, on the 35th parallel, we have pronounced seasons, and actually, I like them all and the change itself...thanks for reading and reviewing my poem.
