Then Clarence did change and decided to show
In the church he would prove to her
what he would do.

But what a surprise when instead of his bride
he discovered his shoe
in the carriage horse poo.
This made me laugh. I really enjoyed it. Well done a super write I forgive the use of the word poo lol kindest regards Meia xx

This was really cute and clever! I think its funny that you apologized for using 'poo' in your notes hehehe It was a good ending to say the least. Smart woman this Merriam was.

    Hi Mally, This poem has given me more funny comments than I could have ever written. My daughter suggested that I should have used the replacement of "dung", and to rhyme it with lung, rung,etc. etc." Sheesh. Thanks so much.

A very well-written poem. It must be the most embarrassing moment to realize you are left at the altar after all the promises and preparations by the one you trusted the most.

    I have had three friends go through this in my life. One was a man, and I thought he would hit the floor. (He had had so many people fly over from Italy...and no one was amused.). Thanks so much for writing.

Very funny. Tells an authentic story in a very humorous fashion. Nice pacing and flow. Good for you Merriam, you go girl! I too felt like laughing after reading this. Poor Clarence had a fit when he discovered his shoe filled with sh**! Poo was fine. Hugh

You did a good job with this story, Loanna. I like the rhymes & the shorter lines interspersed in the verses. Your picture is a great pairing with your fun words. Seems like these 2 were made for each other, yet they won't agree. They would rather do the opposite of what one expects. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Well yes revenge is a wonderful thing though sometimes does not follow the heart, I read a story of, The time has come to realize someone is with the wrong person, very well done****kahpot

I'm pretty sure poo isn't a bad word, especially since we have that famous little bear.

Good for Merriam to get a little ahead of the leaving part here.

And when I see the horse doo doo I even get a charge out of it.

A fun poem and I'm glad you felt like laughing. :)

Wow, yes, I do imagine he was quite surprised. I love the picture also. It suits this humorous tale of Merriam and Clarence so well! I enjoyed this.
