You're so right. I do love this! I'll have to find the others. I always like a strong character and an interesting twist - but who doesn't? You got a lot across in 200 words.

She was fun to create, but as you say the challenge is the word count. Thanks so much for sharing. Rod

Good little story. That's one way to get rid of an annoying pest, although there probably are less harmful ways to do it. You never know who "a stranger" is or what they might do. Keep it in mind... it could save your life. :)

Well, well. Don't taunt a tiger is right. Well written and interesting. Nicely illustrated. Good luck in the contest if it isn't over yet. Marilyn

We have a lot of riverboat casinos in and around the Cincinnati area, not to mention land based casinos in the city.
Everyone is always trying to get me to go, but the last time I set foot in a casino was in Reno, Nevada, in 1985.
I have a good reason for that long dry spell from gambling.
I have no luck--not a lick.
Your story has made me think twice about giving gambling another shot, however.
Heh-heh-heh.

Hi Dean. Thanks so much for sharing my shortie. I grew up in Reno but seldom visit and never gamble.

Ha haaaa. She got what she deserved. Excellent little story for the contest. Black jack's my game when I go to the casino. I know how a new deck doesn't always work out for the better. I've had that happen numerous times, "Hey, I have a win with 20." but the dealer pulls out a 21. Lol. That's always my luck. Thank you for joining the contest and adhering to the rules. Best of luck in the voting. Have a great weekend.

Was he cheating? Seems he was pretty lucky, and he felt the need to carry a gun. I'm still trying to figure out if she got what she deserved or not. Check your author notes. Some words didn't come out right. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Cindy. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my shortie. The narrator was not cheating, but the redhead will not believe her. It?s hard to give much character background in only 200 words. That?s why in my description I say ?La Tigre is back.? This is her fifth appearance on FS and she?s an assassin, hence the gun. Anything with an apostrophe or quotation marks does not come out right in Author?s Notes for me.

Great little story for only 200 words. Just a little change of punctuation would clarify this sentence:
"I said nothing but left. Jabbering more insults, she followed me into a little-used stairwell." Well done. Good luck in the contest.

A very unique story which gave clarity and good flow. Writing a strong 200 word story isn't easy, but I feel you captured the gist of what you wanted the reader to grasp. Just watch the punctuation. Other than that, an enjoyable read
