Hi Sankey, I know what your saying in this short post of yours. This site is indeed for everybody, and so it should be. I also agree that there is the skip button, which I do use. It's only that of late half the prose front page has been taken up by the same writer and the same work for a couple of weeks. I thought there was a limit to how long you can promote. It prevents other good writers to get their work there. As for the warnings. They are there to give us a choice. In real life you never know what kind of language the book will contain. I know,That released a short rant, but I was so fed up with the previous mentioned posts on the front page. All the best. Ulla:))

Yeah mate. Thanks for taking this in the good spirit intended. Someone else said the same thing. I think if you wanna pay the funny money you can promote and promote maybe some have more dollars than SENSE (cents) hehe. I know, initially, we can only post two new works daily. Hey, me and Sasha are probably the top ranters around here so have a rant whenever you feel like it. Gets it off your chest.

I agree with the skip button. There is room on this site for all who wise to remain a part of FanStory, even those of us who don't have a lot of time on a daily basis to read, review, or respond back to what others send us. That's always been one of my biggest struggles. One hour a day online is not much. It is also why it can take me forever to reply to someone although I always do.

Thanks mate. Seems my post has found agreement with quite a few. Looking forward to meeting you in Glory dear Bro. Then we will have all the time in the world or in Heaven to Fellowship. Had a really good message in church this morning but Satan decided to dump the audio system so the excellent message on our inheritance as believers ie Heaven was lost, sadly.

I've always like the thing that we don't have to review everyone's work or everything one the people you follow post. Just because I get notified of a persons work doesn't mean I have to review it. Sometimes it's better to just skip and move on.

You are so right. I know I have some writing I always skip (sadly some of them are unbearable to me because the writing is so bad I wouldn't know where to start the review. I know this is unfair, somehow, but I'm guilty of simply having no patience to do what such a writer needs here from fellow writers).

Thanks for the heads up... I use the skip button every single day for a variety of reasons... It can be from I can't read 10,000 words right now or I don't love the subject and don't want to engage... and there's always the o'come on with this post... the one thing I do not walk away from is those who post from their hearts and I can tell that possibly they don't have the language illness, disability, education... You did a good job, Sankey, expressing your thoughts/feelings about FS. You are right. There is all kinds of writing00some not to our liking. With those, skipping is a good idea. Also, trying to influence one's religion or lack of isn't going to happen & creates problems. Thanks for sharing. Jan

A very well-written piece of advice. I rather skip political or explicit works than have to read it and forced to tell the writer my point of view. 'what the eyes don't can't hurt the mind'

I have my issues with the site, too. Currently it is someone who dominates the welcome page by having five posts running at a time. As you say, you can choose to read or not read. Sometimes people who post twice a day begin to sound so repetitive I'm tempted to skip their writing. Despite problems, I think FS is worth it. There's always the option to skip, as you say. Yeah well that is another thing too ratings should not depend on our opinions I feel like ratings should only be for punctuation or spag errors. I have had folks mark me down out of disagreement. Wrong! And you know how particular I am about stuff. One of the reviewers on this round marked me down for not understanding...also not right.
