I like how you describe how the circus (do you really mean "carnival"?) operated and how you became part of a large family of workers. I would like more details about how an eleven-year-old dealt with the public, taking tickets. Maybe a few specific memorable incidents to illustrate.

Thanks for reading and reviewing and your comments and questions. It was a circus with rides, games, trapeze and animals- 2 lions, 5 horses, 1 elephant, 2 zebras. There was a code among workers that as such you were family.

What a delightful and insightful story about the first job at the circus with taught the young man responsibilities and matured him rather speedily as he went back each summer up to the age of 18. The aunt and uncle played a major role in helping this young man become a responsible adult. There are a few typos that I noted but overall it was a very good story
