LOL. I don't know where you find these strange pictures, but they're perfect for your off-the-beaten-track thinking when it comes to some of your poems and stories, Bill. Very original, and very amusing. :)) Nice use of unusual words for end rhyme too. Well done, IMO.

Weird combination. My husband likes the drumstick, so he could really indulge with that crossing. How the riddle will be "Why did the chicken cross the road? He wanted some elephant ears." Excellent rhyme in this. Fun poem. I can't see much future in these kinds of research. judi

Good stuff. What do you call an elephant that flies? An elephant fly.

This brings to mind oanother of my favorites sex stories, a flea was having sex with an elephant, the elephant bumped a coconut tress and a coconut fell hitting her on the head, it hurt and she let out an oh, at which the overconfident flea said, "sorry babe was I too rough?"

That sounds like one of my old buddies and a working girl from Puerto Rico.

Hell yeah, Bill!
Just imagine the drumstick on that bad boy!
I always heard the melding of these two critters told in the following fashion.
Question: What do you get when you cross an elephant with a rhinoceros?
I dunno--whaddaya get?
Answer: El-if-I-know (Elephino).
Good stuff.
Tastes like chicken...
~Dean :)

Thanks, Dean. Don?t get me started on elephant jokes. Too late. What has four legs, is covered with wool, and goes ?baa baa baa??
An elephant wearing a wool sweater and singing the Woofenpoof song. *
*. ?We?re poor little lambs who?ve lost our way...baa baa baa.

Which came first-- the pictures or the poem? I hate the idea of cross breeding. The result could be a very flawed animal.
Use of alliteration with m, s, and t sounds and assonance with bring and mingling.

Comment from Cass Carlton
Said the lion to his mate
"I'll go get supper 'fore its late
We have six cubs that all eat flesh
I'll bring home something nice and fresh"
Off he went and made a kill
Then just as he would eat his fill
Another beast came strolling by
With rhino skin and elephant's eye.
Sir Lion looked and was amazed.
He seemed, in fact, a little dazed
The creature grinned and walked away
No-one would dine on him today.
Lion went home to cubs and mate
And apologized for being late
He said " This food is finger lickin'
But I've just seen a Mother of a chicken"
