This is a well written poem, the only thing I would say is, the highlighted words look like they have been cut. You can still read it though and, if this was intended, I am sorry to have mentioned it. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

The three lines of this 5-7-5 represent the three stages of any journey, whether a trip to the courner shop or throughout life -- beginning, middle and end. Cleverly each line has a similar ending; I won't call it rhyme since the final sound falls on a naturally unstressed syllable but that sound is still present in the memory and registers on the brain in a similar way to rhyme. The poem is compliant with the syllabic requirements of the form.

I like this short poem very much as you have shown the balance of our efforts and destiny so perfectly. The line ' claim your destiny ' is simply brilliant and says it all. This is the beauty and power of such short poems.
