At the moment I am looking for everything I've missed on your profile - and I am glad to see this one. I enjoyed your answer, esp. the retelling of your story about vaulting over the big horse :))

That was so funny. I just lay there laughing at myself and at the horse's expression. Thanks for trawling through the stuff some of it needs a nudge to get recognition.

Apparently Red River is frequently repeated in the USA. I can't say I enjoyed milking a goat much. I think a cow would be easier. Thanks for reviewing.

How interesting, Pantygynt;
=>The movie Red River, I shall look for it?
=>My favorite superhero is called The Shadow Because he was blacklisted by good
and now he spent the rest of his life trying too do good as a shadow and can be
seen only by looking at a shadow.
=>Thanks for sharing this, my friend, take care and have a good one.
Ax
PS: that Moris's dance thing, was it for the longest dance ever recorded? Or is it a traveling thing?

Apparently it is often repeated on TV in the USA.
The dance was a travelling thing. I went from my home in Orpington to Worceste the pretty way. As I said you won't find mine in Guiness. Thanks fore your interest.

I just found it very interesting, my friend.

PS: It's too bad you missed out.

Comment from Gloria ....
Great job telling us the inside scoop all about yourself, Jim. The Morris Dance is incredible and of course you wrote that award winning and contest winning Crown of Heroic Sonnets about.
Quite enjoyed and many thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you for reviewing there are are a whole lot of folks who weren't here when I wrote that crown two years ago and a whole lot more whose braincells can't cope with anything longer than a sonnet. :)

Hi Jim. I am also a chess player. My highest Elo was 2130. Old age and bad health caught up with me. I still play an occasional game on the internet chess club. Thank you for sharing

I am one of the world's worst chess players ever and I am getting worse I think. But thanks for reviewing anyway. I love the story of the grand master who complained to the referee that his opponent had promised not to smoke.
"But he isn't smoking" said trhe ref.
"No," replied the grand master, "but he looks as though he wants to!"
It's not the action, nor even the threat of the action, but the threat of the threat, that destroys them"
-
An old saying at chess. ?The threat is stronger than the execution? Idea is to threaten and make him worry about stopping it. But sometimes the threat isn?t real

Thank you for being willing to answer these questions and let us get to know you better. You can be my superhero, since you hold the world's record for the longest morris dance! Hugs- Joan

I have a poem on the stocks, that I might post someday, called my hero. The artwork says "Jim is my Hero" I couldn't resist it.

Thanks for participating, Jim! Hooray for goats and goat milk. Congrats on the book publications!
And so glad that you survived that horse accident. I can't imagine what the horse's expression looked like. Was he surprised or laughing or rolling his eyes?

Hi, Jim. Good to see your old picture back up. You have quite a varied background and life, it seems. Red River is on the "tele" all the time over here with Monty Clift and john Wayne. On TCM Turner Classic Movies. (YOU probably do not get the station in your country. Sorry, Mate. Bob

Never mind, Bob like all old movies it is probably desperately slow by modern standards. Thanks for reviewing.
