Very nicely done. This is yet another form of poetry that is new to me. You did a great job on this piece. I can't pick a favorite line because as a whole it is beautiful. To find your soul mate is a blessing. To lose one soul mate is a tragedy but knowing their soul is your mate and from you they shall never leave is more than comforting it is heart touching. Excellent job. GOD Bless you :)

Hello Kahpot, I just love how all this fits together, it is a carefully woven work and one I liked thinking about and seeing. Very visual with that interesting picture. And our soul being a mate, fits with the imagery used in the Bible, the 'brides of Christ'. I have no suggestions for improvement. I liked it just as it is, thanks, Ana.

this, my friend, is a marvelously written tanka, so heartfelt which makes it come across with power that anyone can relate to. That is the big trick. I know tankas like haikus have pivot lines and I'm not sure about punctuation, as I've written 25 or 30 of them. I'm also not quite sure about capitalization in one, as you don't do either in haikus. As far as adhering to syllable count and the emotional impact, it's a true winner for me, well-done

Excellent choice of artwork to complement a wonderfully penned tanka. I was scrolling through the works to review and when I read yours, I didn't even realize it was a tanka until I finished reflecting on the point of the piece. It's always refreshing when the message outshines the form. Well done.
