That would certainly be a good world to live in, Joan. I liked that each couplet starts with I imagine. You make some good logical points and one wonders why religion and colour bring so much hate and trouble. Nice one Joan, good luck in the contest. Cheers

Thank you for voicing "I imagine." A world without violence and war... now that would be heavenly! I love the two-line stanzas that each complete one train of thought. Your words are extremely moving. (I wish we didn't even have to fight for clean air and water.) I'm not clear on the punctuation though. Some stanzas are with it and some are without (I'm sure it's me, as punctuation, especially in poems, has never been a strength). All the best in the contest with this beautiful entry! -- B

This kind of vision is needed more than ever, Joan. So I'm glad you revived your post. I was a little taken aback at the line about fighting for clean air and water, but then I realized it didn't mean fighting in the literal sense, but trying to achieve a goal. I suppose mankind needs a vision statement. I imagine the world's trillionaires getting together to arrange for skywriters to emblazon a sentence across the skies of every country on earth every day. "Be kind" sounds good to me. Wouldn't that be something?

I doubt that will ever happen, the trouble is we need a divine, wise dictator, somebody that cares for all equally. If it's an earthly dictator, hes always corrupt, and even democratic governments have the wrong types, but great dream, well done Joan, blessings Roy
