Aaaahahahaha! I shouldn't laugh - pompous a*ses are really not funny, but it's the juxtaposed "declining libidos" that gets me. SO TRUE, although those arrogant fools would not admit it under threat of death. What a great poem!

A very well-written six-word poem. We need to act from time to time that we are brave and have everything under control although we don't have the energy to get up from our chair.

With no intent to be too personal, Dallas, I wonder why you chose a lion to illustrate declining libidos, unless you see yourself as a lioness with such a problem with the titular head of the pride. ;)
Good luck in the contest.

I can think of a few, well-known guys who fit this description! You amaze by saying so much is so few words. And what a perfect picture to accent the "roar"! Best wishes in the Six Word Poem contest- Joan

This is very interesting. I really like the clever wording you've used and the message conveyed here. I really like the accompanying artwork. It compliments this poem and the theme of it so well. I enjoyed reading this well written poem that says so much in so few words. Great job and well done Dallas01!

This is startling poetry. It reminds me of a lot of men I know. Not that they would admit anything. LOL. I wish you lots of luck in the contest, Alice. Blessings, Bob

Oh this has to be among your best. I burst out with a good laugh, still grinning as I read this. I think the photo added to the poem.
Good work.
I do not read many postings that are sixers...this one 100% all the way.
A good way to end my day.

Glad you got a laugh. That"s what it's all about. And thanks for the bonus star.

Now that's a nice play on words! I appreciate it. Oh, and it's insightful too, of course. You did a nice thing here. I enjoyed reading it. I love the ambiguity between "super ego" in the Freudian sense and "super ego" as in, an ego that is extraordinarily powerful.

It's unfortunate that those two should occur at the same time. I can certainly see why the lion would have a superego. Most people who have a large ego have no reason to.
