Of course, what else would some one who eats chicken taste like but chicken? You are after all, what you eat. If you eat chicken, you then become chicken, right? If that is truly the case, then what is a condor?

A big chicken, I guess. Don?t say that to his face though.

Never, I would never get that close

Great play on words. Also good alliteration.
Buzzards play a big part in keeping things clean, but they have a bad reputation which is unfair. In their way, they are beautiful birds, too.

Love buzzards.

Isn't everything supposed to taste like chicken? My mother-in-law used to try to pass of tofu as chicken. What a story in this. Some condors just don't appreciate the finer things. Love your play on the word "peckish." Cleverly done. You don't need the comma after Coco. Great names. judi

I was going to say it was how "Coco," spelled her name. One of my son's student's name is (ladasha), spelled L A - A H. True story.

Well, you taught me a new word, "peckish" which works especially well if you happen to be a bird. Humorous and unexpected pivotal middle line which is what one would expect in a tanka.

Well, that's a switch. Thanks for giving this a look.
Comment from Gloria ....
Pranka now that IS fun. A new form is it then? If so, I love it, Bill.
I can't imagine one would be too particular about their meal if they're peckish.
Looking forward to your next pranka. :)

I've been calling them that because I use the tanka form, but typically make them funny and otherwise don't keep any proper tanka discipline. Thanks for giving this a look.
