There is whole lot of history to this picture and theres also a lot of years that goes along with the history of this painting. Your poem is certainly a credibility to its existence. Best wishes to you in the contest

Dear Mary Thank you for your review and the five stars. This piece was suggested by the smug grin of a fellow school volunteer after she found out she wasn't pregnant after all. I'll leave that with you to work out for yourself. ?But it ain't rocket science. cheers Cass

Dear Cindy, thank you for your review and the five stars. This piece suggested itself after hearing a fellow volunteer at the school crowing over the fact that she wasn't expecting "after all" I figured what worked in today's world would work a few centuries ago. Whaddaya reckon girlfriend cheers Cass

Hello, good take on the Mona Lisa. I confess it is a work that I found rather disappointing. It is so famous but when you see it in the Louvre, it is small and unassuming. I noticed no errors in your well-written poem, one I would recommend to other readers for review, Ana.

Dear Ana, Thank you for your review and the five stars. Yes, I have seen photos of the Mona Lisa in the Art Gallery as it is displayed and thought the same as you. but when you look more closely the story is there. It is an enigmatic smile and that is what has piqued Man's curiosity for so long. There are lots of ideas. One was because she had bad teeth. Another was because the portrait was actually of Leonardo himself. He was smirking at the trick he'd pulled on those who didn't know him.
who knows? Who cares? cheers Cass
