A well-constructed, very dark poem, but I think I get the point. If they're not going to push the button, maybe they should stop rattling the sabre. Maybe they should all shut up and stop acting like little boys in the sandbox fighting over the bucket and spade.

The talk when Reagan was President was, how to survive an atomic war. The answer, Star Wars, destroy Russia's economy, tear down the wall, breach the iron curtain, de-nuclearize Europe and the U.S. No nuclear war. The Trump solution, invest in more nukes, promote the use of low-yield nukes (suggesting they may be likely used out of hand), and destroy our credibility in the world. As Ronald Reagan once joked, "I am your President; I've just declared war on the Soviet Union; the missiles launch in five minutes.

Let's hope Donald doesn't make that joke. Someone will truly believe it.

These are dangerous times. I wish we had some leaders who are rational. The Iranian crew and Kim Jung In can't be trusted, and Trump is too full of himself to make reasoned judgments. This guy who never served in the military and has never shown any acts of courage things bluster is the answer. You have an excellent presentation and your syllable count and rhyme is right on! I wouldn't want the world blown to pieces just to achieve peace. judi

Thanks, Judi. Trump is jumping the shark now, investigating the FBI.

Hi, Bill. Trump is adept at changing the subject. He thinks he's perfect and everyone else is doing him wrong. judi

L-et's wait just a bit before we L-et go of our hold on L-ife. I am in no hurry to see the end of this story. I happen to believe that there is another destiny and another lane down which we can travel. L-et's try our hand at L-ove. much more L-ove.

An excellent picture that complements your minute poem perfectly. You too such an up-to-date subject that it impressed me a lot. I see now that maybe my one has mistakes. I like yours all the way. Best wishes for the contest.

I would not put it past some leaders to do this. It would be funny if it did not have a scary element of truth. If we have no world, then no one will be left to fight. Solution? Maybe. :)

I thought, minute poem, Minuteman missile, world destruction: it's a natural progression.

>>one press to send
our peace... the end<<
Why waste time indeed.
But quite honestly I'm pretty worried. John Bolton was there with Bush and Powell when they screamed in one breath: weapons of mass destruction. Hussein must go. Regime change.
Now he's their again with a brilliant imbecile shouting the same song out loud, this time not for Iraq but for Iran. And the good this for Bolton and Catastrotrump is that the boys will only be suing buttons, not being shot dead in the desert.
Which is why the fake accusations are need: There are new weapons and they have to be tested on site. Boy oh boy, prepare for our firs AI warfare.

You can't write fiction like this and be believed.

Wow, Bill, This is to play with fire in the highest order. I understand the thought behind. Why all the nonsense when it can be solved once and for all. A very well written minute poem. Good luck, All the best. Ulla:)))
