Now this is clever and brought a smile. I didn't quite get the one about eating the bird so I had to skip it. The PM is a strange looking creature but kind of cute at the same time. Marilyn

Yes the Mantis is indeed a predator who preys on unsuspecting victims and if it is at all possible, he probably prays for new victims to come his way. I keep reading you works, mainly to see what life form you will choose next. LOL.

Oh you are clever alright. Don't think for a second that I didn't catch that play on words. Yes, food must be foremost on the preying mantis's agenda. Just keep it away from me, or my cats may prey on it. You should be entering some of these in contests, like the 5-7-5 going on. It's unusual enough to attract attention. Great last line that preyers get answers. Clever. judi
