I get it. As in "once in a blue moon"....very clever, very nice pic. These ultra short forms don't rev my all up emotionally but I appreciate one like this that makes a statement in a poetic vein....

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem about the blue moon that only happens once in a few years, but truly a very great sight to see, we had a blue moon here about thirteen years ago.

HI, The title as the phot is what I loved most and would not mind hanging the picture in a room. Beautiful and peaceful. And as for the writing indeed it must be rare I never seen a blue moon and hope I will one day!

Hello, great entry for the 1-6-1 competition prompt. I loved the topic you've chosen, I think the moon is probably one of the most influential images in poetry, it is the image of romance and love. Yes, yes, yes. I'm in Mexico right now and looked out my window early yesterday morning to see the moon setting into the Pacific like the photo. You are right . . . it cast a rare blue hue. What a sight. Your simple, elegant poem captures it well.

I love how you elimianted all punctuation and capitalization. This allows your shimmering poem to melt into my imagination and my experience.

This 1-6-1 could not more SIMPLY state the truth of what a blue moon is.
I also like that the poem is a single sentence that flows so smoothly you hardly notice the well-chosen rhymes. And a perfect photo!
