Short short forms and one line forms---I know they are oh so popular especially for contests but let's face it---they aren't going to make a major poetic impact unless your like, Will the Bard or something...still, I'm no poetry snob and I like a simple little smile mixed in with my sonnets and Pantoums and such....this is not only cute but is exactly how I act in spiteo f my age whenever I come in contact with large bodies of water be they pools, ponds, lakes or the occasional trip to the ocean!

Yes, splashing countless hours in the pool is my idea of funtime as well. Like most children, I look forward to summer for that reason alone. Thank you for the nostalgia.

I like imagining the Speaker is a child as she uses. The slang used ("fool around" and "cool") is from that generation. Well done in only 8 syllables.
