This is an interesting poem, clearly about how we are affected by the company we keep, our views reinforced by their views. It's even more interesting that you found a way to use chameleons to convey this idea. Nice one!

You're welcome, Bill.

That is a great picture! And I think the poem works for chameleons as well as for people. If they are in a group of like-minded souls, they will probably never change.

They will never know they need to change

So far, they haven't anything to challenge them into changing colors. They always look like nothing much bothers them. I guess I'd be that way if I could change my appearance to suit the need.

This is a short haiku like 5-7-5 about chameleons which usually affect change depending on the habitat that they are in. In this case, together they are remaining quite unaffected. In the second line we see a connection with the first and your satori being the surprise that the chameleons are quite unaffected. Awesome poem!

Can I truly believe what I am seeing, a tree full of chameleons, or do my eyes deceive me once again. See, that's the thing with chameleons, you can never quite believe what you see when you think you are looking at them.

Oh they are so cute and weird. They kinda look like crabby little old men. Great little work here. Another great series-look forward to what you will come up with next.

They must be serving in Congress. Great picture. They are just happy to be together. Everything stays the same. You have your 5-7-5 syllable count in perfect order. This one is fun. I didn't know about when they kept their same color. judi

HI, Not sure what you mean unaffected, meaning safe from distinction? And some will never change... why do they not change color? A little confused. I love those little creatures and would mind one for a pet, yet what would one feed them? Brief liking them made me stop by to see what you had to say. Not much but what is there to say, besides being a 5 7 5 piece. Which was nice to include them in a poem as no doubt they appreciated it and I much as asked questions enjoyed.
