Very interesting but also inspirational poem that is compliment with a great picture. The poem is full of both imagery and emotions.

Hello DoveMarie, what a lovely poem that is filled with anticipation and desire. And it's the question of all questions, really. Paul thought it would be soon, and so did a lot of others. I imagine that when Hitler invaded Europe a few people would have thought it was the end then. But none of us know the time or the hour. I often wish it would happen sooner than later, especially when you look around at the World and all the fighting and horror that is going on.
I enjoyed reading your work, and thanks for sharing it, Ana.

Donna, This is a very beautiful and well written poem of a soul longing for the return of our Lord! I know that all of God's children are waiting that day! Very good wording and imagery. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. love, Teri

Dear Teri, Thank you for your comments and review. If I knew how to write music, I would put it to a song. I was singing a few words of it a cappella in my head after I wrote it. Donna

Wow. Of all the things of yours I have read today, the following two lines have got to be my favorite! They are so beautiful!!
***
Now I long for Your consolation
And the unearned gift of Heavenly salvation

Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem!

Nice poem, clever use of rhyme and repetition.
But hey, if we had to wait until after the Second Coming before we got consolation, it would be a sad world indeed, much sadder than it is now.

I think this would make a great song, it has the rhyme scheme to be put to music. and as for the question? Maybe he visits often. Can't imagine that loving spirit likes what he sees.
Nice job

A great way to put forth an eternal question for believers. I like how you incorporated your own testimony into this verse. You crafted a well balanced poem. Good job.

Reberent poem beseeching our Savior to be with us as we go through earyhly woes and challengs. Of course, it wi. Be at His appointed hour, not ours--but you capture the need we have to assert our faith.

I think the same thing. The world is such a mess, but really it always has been. Without God people are a mess, they do what is right in their own eyes and make a mess. But my favorite verse says, " In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world." John 16:33. So no matter what, God wins. =}
