A beautiful poem of three stanzas depicting the treasures of a rainbow as seen through children's eyes of wonder and adults, enjoying the freshness and unexpected treasure that the rainbow displays.

This poem about rainbows, A Treasure of Nature, reveals the spectrum of appreciation for the prism of color from both young and old. It is a source of wonder, fantasy, and faith.

You selected the perfect picture to reinforce your rainbow description. I relished your opening line and your rhymed, rhythmic quatrains. Here's to us being children again! Best wishes in the contest- Joan

This is one of my favorites. The photo is perfect, and to me, adds vision to most poems. The flow is so smooth, and the rhyming seemed effortless. A great entry to the rainbow writing prompt. I wish you luck!

I think the pot of gold is something of a myth, but the rainbow, now that is a treasure. One that you can see and enjoy, sometimes you can get a double rainbow and I have even seen three at one time. The rainbow is God's gift to us, that we should treasure. Nice visual for the poem. Good Luck and Best Wishes in the Contest! Sherman541

thanks for the good wishes.
the treasure at the end of the rainbow question was rhetorical - just a bit of whimsy.

I did not think it was a true question, but I like the poem and You are most welcome :)

Much success to you in the contest. Lovely poem describing how children are delighted when they see a rainbow and how refreshing it is to adults when they see one. But it's always been that one thing that if you get to the end of a rainbow there's a pot of gold which no one has ever done that so it's a myth. Rainbows do have beautiful colors and every time that I see one it puts a smile on my face but there was this saying when I was in school that said rainbow in the morning the sailor takes warning, rainbow at night a Sailor's Delight. I guess it was the weather forecast for people out on the seas. Anyway I remembered it from when I was a child.

thank you. I have been getting several comments about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow being a myth. It was just a rhetorical question - bit of whimsy. But like you, rainbows put a smile on my face, too.
