This 3-5-3, Surprise Party, has the right syllabic format and finds that overnight miracle where those apple blossoms explode onto the tree and change the view from bleak to party time. Nice.

Rod, this is a great 3-5-3 writing prompt entry. It can be viewed as one of those breathtaking moments - ever so beautiful. Blossoms on any tree, bush or plant is nature way of smiling at us and for us to appreciate and energise from it. ~DD

Lovely poem for the lovely picture, Rod! Seeing the gorgeous blooms in the spring can lift up our spirits and it comes suddenly from bud to full bloom so it does feel like a surprise sometimes.

We are just beginning to see buds on our trees; the blossoms are still a week or two away. Many thanks for sharing ?Surprise Party.? Rod

I do really like this little five-seven-five poem. So often I've been surprised by the sudden springtime presence of these trees, like visitors in bridal dress.

Hey, I truly like your analogy, Katya. Yes, when trees in my neighborhood blossom, it?s always overnight and a most welcome surprise. Many thanks for sharing my short poem.

Sweet, sweet poem! I love it! It makes me want to bite into a nice crisp apple on a pretty Spring morning! I love the description of the tree being "smothered in blossoms". Your poem made me imagine the sweet fragrance of the apple blossoms. Great job!

I truly appreciate your gushing praise of my 3-5-3, Kelsey, but do not know why you thought it rated only three stars.
-
I'm sorry I though I had rated it at four stars?! I just went in and changed it, totally not a three star poem! I loved it!
-
You ?totally loved it,? so why only four stars?
