This 3-5-3, The Comedian, has the right syllabic format and presents the basics of a successful comic. Take a sense of humor, give it a point, and charge to talk. Love it.

That truly is a gift, to make people laugh, and then get paid for it. Wow! God knows, how many people would trade places with you. My question, " is it a gift or a curse"? Good luck in the contest.

It's probably one of the hardest jobs and your reputation is on the line every time, I don't envy the comedians their job at all, but I love watching them! Love Dolly x

This is an outstanding 3-5-3 poem that is written with lots and lots of imagery and emotions as well. The picture selection is perfect for the poem. Good luck with the contest.

I think this is a good entry for the 3-5-3 writing prompt.
Your short verse tells of getting paid to be funny.

Being a comedian has got to be one of the tougher jobs going, especially if people misunderstand the humour, which does happen. lol.
