Oh Boogienights,
This poem certainly brings back nostalgic memories from my childhood -- a time of wholesomeness and non-computer games.
Unfortunately, children tend to stay indoors, playing computer games.
Oh how I wish children could experience what we did.
Excellent, excellent poem!

I relished your interpretation of the prompt and all of your nostalgia. Although I am older than you are, I remember most to the events you described, and I admired your rhymes, colored text and parallel pictures. Keep enjoying the memories and best wishes in the competition- Joan

I like this. It makes me sad, though. I miss those carefree moments--I didn't have many, but the playing outside and the almost a hippy time--how I'd love to go back, knowing what I know now.
Good luck.

As would I. If I had one wish it would be to go back and relive just one happy day with my family. I've lost all of my core family, mother, father, sister and brother, and I have a wonderful husband and children but I still my parents and siblings terribly.. Thank you so much for taking time to read and review.

What a great read and I really enjoyed reminiscing with you through the 60s and 70s. Fun to see your photos too. Your last line, "I'd say hi to a sweet shy girl-younger version on me. Good luck with the contest.

I think this is a good entry for the 'The Good Old Days' writing prompt.
Your verse describes many aspects of the Good Old Days.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.

Excellent! I went on the journey with you down memory lane and it brought up oh, so many grand memories. I also love the way that you interspersed different pictures throughout your poem that were applicable to the memory that you were evoking! That was superb!

An enthralling look back at times past - akin to a sociological glance backward with a range of areas revisited in beautiful rhyming stanzas - together with cool visuals

This speaks about all those good old days, childhood days of 1960s, how he enjoyed sweet moments in dimensional activities; mother brought bellbottoms, Griffith's show in Gilliland Islands, music from the ice-cream stand, TV dinners, penny candy, music and more; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR
