I especially liked your choices to use "dread invading" and "severed our souls." Overall, too, the poem captures the suffering of not knowing the future of the relationship.

Oooo! This character is in a bad way! KNOWS the woman is in the arms of her lover and still can't get free of her! Oh dear.
The writing is good, the sound enjoyable, the rhyme and meter handled well, the images progressing from the sound of a whine to the echo of a scream--I like the whole thing. Good good.
