I never knew oaks produced resin! Now I do! Thanks for teaching me something new by writing a wonderful haiku and teaming it with a perfect photo. Your poem does make me wonder if trees miss us, too. Thanks for the lesson and the thoughts.

It's amazing how the bark on a tree is so thick and covers it. protects it really. Very awesome help nature is provided for on purpose by God it has its own protection and it's the bark of the tree which is very thick and how we don't have to water it the rain does and it survives the cold and come back in the spring. The tears part I don't quite get that. Sorry

This is a good entry for the contest. I wonder if there are any states that are without the mighty oak tree. I know that they are everywhere here in Northern Callfornia. But, I do not remember anyone Indiana or Florida or Arizona. The mighty oak tree. The mighty oak tree comes from the lowly acorn. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

I think this is a good entry for the Tree-Hugger 5-7-5 writing prompt.
Your short verse tells a sad story of a tree crying resin tears.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.
