Hi Bill,
I'm guessing the owner of the foot had a long, hard think about the prize on offer here. Lol.
Keep her 21st century car or go back to snails pace with a profound pink slip prize.
Hmm! That's such a difficult choice.

Thanks, Shirley, for responding to this. Did you see the size of that snail?
-
Ha , ha. I didn't take in the snails size but any advantage gained by that oversight is surely lost on human speed.

Some race, your big ass foot gives you an insurmountable advantage. With every step you take you advance further and further ahead. Even if you are slower than the snail, in my mind that is an impossibility, so, you had darn well better win.

The human had one leg and athlete?s foot.

Your author's note is as clever as the poem. Not crazy about the size of critter, but I do like the foot. This is quite an original piece and it's curious what you will come up with next. Marilyn

That's a new one for me. I only know the kind of pink slip that means you're out of a job. What was the snail driving? Oh, never mind, you said not to ask. Interesting one, Bill.

This is a very cute poem about the lady and the snail racing around the block. You used very cute words and the art work is really neat. It looks like a really big snail or very tiny lady. Cute job my friend! Blessings, Teri

Snails carry pink slips around? What would the snail do if it won the car? But I'm not asking. Let the snails race each other. Compulsive gamblers could place their bets. This is in good shape for a cinquain format. The photo reminds me of why I don't like to wear sandals. judi

There is a lot to absorb in your review, Judi. Rationalizing pink sliips? Foot races with snails? Gambling?

You're very welcome. judi

A lovely photo, that complements your short poem perfectly. I can see it is not your foot. Your foot note explains it is a car title. An excellent Cinquain. Thanks for sharing.

Either that's a very fast snail, or you're a very slow person. He must have won. lol
Pink slip, as in showing ownership of something?

People race for pink slips (title registration)
-
That's what I thought.

I think there were two of them. They could be twins.

No such thing as a sure bet, Bill. A very funny twist to the old drag racing stakes. And did you two share a beer afterward? Oh! Wait a minute. That's for slugs. Ahhh! So that's why you're walking! Well done, sir. :) Nancy

This speaks how slow but steady is the race a snail maintain everywhere, even if you go a race with a snail be sure to win, and a slip is inevitable; well said, well done. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR
