I enjoyed your poem. I particularly liked the phrase "you pinned a flower in my hair". There is a sweetness in the first two stanzas and then some sadness that follows.

This is a good entry for the contest. I have been saving the last of my six star ratings for the right post. This is it. I wonder if each person has his days of summer wine. I am a chess player and in the 1970's there was a tournament at the Paul Masson Vineyards every year. Those were good times and the comraderie it engendered among us chess players was special. Chess tournaments in the middle of vineyards of a major wine company. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing
