This is so well-written and presented. I love it! The artwork is amazing and goes perfectly with the poem. I especially love the last stanza and the line that says "Laugh and write and laugh some more" - what great advice to chase those Hum Drums away. It works too! Thank you for this. Haha definitely a silly yet adorable poem.

Love the artwork to compliment it.

This reminds me of my childhood with my twin brother for some reason...
Just makes me giggle.

What a cool, nonsensical poem and definitely one children would love with the even cadence and natural-sounding rhyme. The repetition of the first lines adds to the appeal and sense of nonsense. This reads like a professionally written and edited poem.

This is very cute and I love the picture. I make cards and it would be a great stamp. I'm having the hum drums right now, but my story is at home so I can't work on it. Boo. Well done, I hope you do well in the contest.

HA HA, HERE WE HAVE A QUITE NONSENSICAL POEM, FULFILLING THE CONDITIONS OF THIS CONTEST. ITS RHYMES ARE RICH AND ITS METRICAL CADENCES SWEET.

A very well-written funny nonsense poem about the him drums they are not perfect guests, so it may be better to make them feel quite unwelcome when they arrive at our front door.

Oh, this was absolutely fun to read. Good old Hum Drums! They seem to have visited us both! I think this might be a really good spiffed up a bit for a children's book... to be read when they are visited by the unhappy Hum Drums.

A cute and imaginative approach to the funny nonsense prompt. Unique and nicely presented with the drawing of bored little children... we'd better watch out for the Hum Drums, but I wouldn't mind falling asleep about now! Good luck!
