Giving you six stars because you are engaging and funny. No critiques, just praise. I love your dialogue and the progression of this story. I see this won third place in a contest. Congratulations.

My you had my attention and almost believing Sami made up story until I read what she said about her age
"I don't know, but I'm not ten-years old yet."
"cause how could a child at that age make the story true.

Thank you, yep all fiction. A reviewer suggested, I try to make Sami's dialog more childlike. I have tested it, but it's not workable yet.

Nice, drew me in. I had a sense of the occasion. If you do further revising, you might prune a bit. I can't say where, but I had a sense that it was a shade over-wordy in spots. And you might make a little more of the cop business at the end. Just sayin'. Its a good story as it stands.

Thank you very much. This has been the most fun I have had writing fiction. The recommendations are wonderfully disparate from one end of line to the other.

Reality blurs with fantastic. Smartphones and Alexa laughing at random moments make a writer's dreams come true! Yikes! Good luck!

This speaks about missing father's smart phone at son's residence; everything happened like they were duped by the phone, report appears false and avoided, since perpetrator was unknown; well written, well done; good luck with the contest. B A CHANGE INSPIRER-WRITER--DR ALCREATOR

I think this is a good entry for the Sentence writing prompt.
Your story of a man being falsely accused is interesting and well told.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

AI technology is increasing everyday. Love the personification of the cell phone in your story. So Sami was upset about being left behind and decided to play tricks on her owner. Now how do the police prosecute for a false report? Thanks for the notes explaining the inspiration for the story.
Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome. I presented the story over a year ago as an exercise. I used my name, the response was hilarious. Several thought it was real until I sprung the end on them.

Wow!... What a cool and unusual piece!
They don't call them 'smartphones' for nothing...
Didn't come across any 'glitches' along the way...
MY compliments... Well Done!
