This splendidly composed and aptly illustrated Ameri-Sonnet beautifully expresses the emotions of transition from loneliness and despair "'neath chained hopes and fretful nights" to the joy of soaring on "unbound wings" because two "true spirits" fatefully crossed paths until then separate, built a bridge of faith and trust between them, and now long to remain connected, regardless of any physical distance that may exist between them. A soul capable of recognizing a truly loving heart will find it, even if it takes a lifetime, and then will 'Never part!'' Superb. This is one of your very best.

You are most welcome, Susan. I realize you meant "spot on" (which is what you usually say). Your poems consistently impress me with your skill at different forms (always well executed), your flawless rhyming, your large vocabulary, and -- most of all -- the emotions you effectively convey. This poem has universal appeal for everyone who has been lonely for a long time but finally finds someone whose devotion turns that into a fading memory.

Goodness, Susan!
How more gloriously embracing can a poem be than this piece wrought from your living ink? I cannot truthfully answer that, because I do not know of any.
From picture, presentation, word choices, rhyme, and warm, sensual flow, you had me at first blush, and held-on until I felt my own wings unfurling.
This virtual little masterpiece of sensational desire and fulfillment is stunning, and in my own form, (to me) even more-so.
Gentle touches to consider:
V1L1 - a comma after "Once,"
V2L1 - "Each pursuing, set due course,"
V3L1- "Slowly - fervent, tender words"

Whatever, I'm more than a little smitten by this romantically embracing Ameri-Sonnet, Dear Susan.
