I don't blame you that was a terrible experience because bottom line is that they really really needed a driver as you said it earlier. What the play a dog wow what a low blow sometimes in life we find that people don't say what they really mean they just said what it takes to get your attention and then they show you what they really mean and it's not what you expect

Hello Poet, lol. Your story-in-a-poem is wonderful. Youth is a fantastic time to spread your wings and try new and exciting things. I'm sure that your Puppeteer summer career taught you many things, e.g. leadership skills. I especially liked:

and I was an adorable little dog, with a little dog's voice
("Arf! Arf! Arf!") - a much easier puppet, a snap to handle, and I stole the show with all kinds of doggie antics,
getting lots of laughs (and my partners pissed).

(Poet, you stepped up to the plate and you shined like a star ... you stood out above the rest. Way to go.)

A fun poem that made me smile. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

This poem about a career, The Small-Space Ad, is the final poem I am reading in this challenge and the very best. Suspended somewhere between verse and prose, your narrative was cheeky and super interesting.

What a fun poem and story about your time with puppets. This is a light-hearted contest entry. Good luck to you in the contest and thank you for sharing your work.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Problably not a very profitable way to earn a living, but I think it would have been a blast for a summer. Why haven't you touched a puppet since? I bet any kids in your family would love it. Good luck in the contest.

Yes, it wasn't lucrative. In those days, I was more eager to experience as many options as I could, and improve and learn new skills.

I haven't had any puppets, but kids like my character voice improvisations.

Thanks for your interest and good wishes, Cindy!

That strange ad seems to have taken you on a fun, unforgettable adventure. The poem is well-written with a nice steady flow. You have a nice word choice and the plot moved along nicely.
