lol all I could think about was Shakespeare' shrew so went
back to your definition. shades of Dr. Seuss here. Great use of color. Cruel way to get rid of shrew.

No shrews were harmed in this poem.

While I enjoyed most of your whacky word play and persiflage, some of it
seems in disarray and evaded me. Your rhymes, perhaps forced here and there, were rich, though its metrical cadences could have been more musical.

Thanks, jp, for taking time to give this worthless poem a review. Bill

Thank you for sharing your fun with "odd usage," rhymes, dialog and the little creatures. Your poem reminds me that we are having a nutria invasion in California--they are rodents, the size of dogs--and we need to figure out how to capture them! Here's to peace!! -Joan

hahahah, Bill, I love it. What a well composed poem and so clever to the boot. So that's how you catch a shrew? Very clever I might say. You always manage to put a smile on my face. All the best. Ulla:))

This is a very cute and humorous poem about the Shrew. You used very cute descriptive words that told us how to trap these Shrews. Blessings, Teri

I'm all for peace. However, don't shrews just stay outside and just die on the doorstep? I was thinking the scent of the Earl Grey may send the shrew running but having tea with one is much better than suffocating one.

OMG, I had to laugh when I saw the subject of this "World". What an imagination you have. I must ask-did you ever see "night of the Shrew?" It was an old movie you must now see for sure if u have not. It is a cult classic for my sister and I. Funny in many ways but also one of the few old movies we went back to that we remembered as scary and it still creeped us out a bit. Some, we laugh so hard because we cannot imagine why they scared us in the 1st place.

Dogs with raggedy costumes. It scared me too.

I like the speech impediments, and the jumped up bystander.
I don't think I'd want to leave that poor shrew in there to suffocate, though. A quick death would be kinder.
I got a chuckle from the conversation.

Put the shrew in a jar? And then let him out in the wild? Not suffocate the little thing. They are tiny little creatures and I have never seen one! You took me on an adventure here Bill, love Dolly x

You old softie. I knew you couldn't do it. In order for you to pull this off, you have to treat the shrew like it is a hostile enemy in possession of a hill that the CO just ordered you to take. Now what are you gonna do soldier? Just what I thought, Fresh shrew meat coming up.
