This is interesting in spite of the fact that I'm getting into the middle of something I have read before. I assume Mrs. Armstrong is teaching a nursing class. I can imagine someone who was afraid he had Aids would be extremely relieved to learn he did not.

Thank you so much for reviewing and your great comments. She was actually teaching a Medical Assistance and Phlebotomy class.

I remember reading these chapters. I enjoyed the discussion about the health issues. It's a good idea to combine useful information and a story line. Well done.
I hope to see more of these.

I am totally confused as to who wrote this and why you are reposting it .Can we repost somebody else's work?
Any I understood 'why' when I read through this .A well written chapter giving information and describing the tension with which the boys would have waited...

Thank you so much for reading and your great comments. Apparently yes we can repost someone else's work, this was done by my dear friend without my knowing it.

A Difficult Time.

Excellent chapter, coming in the middle of the book is hard to judge as a whole, but reviewing as one piece I'm very impressed. You give a lot of important information in a well developed plot to think about. The characters are believable and well done too.

I guess, this figures right into the old saying "We learn something every day." And at my age, as I forget twelve or fifteen things every day, I need to learn all I can. So, I don't end up trying to run on empty. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Alie,
I was a little confused at first because the announcement came from Helen, but once it hit me that Helen had just reposted YOUR piece, it all made sense. *smile*
What an amazing, horrible moment. I'm so glad that this boy had a great teacher by his side! What a hero!
Hugs for sharing!

Very informative. I didn't know about male menopause and thought beer bellies were just that! I taught high school during the AIDS pandemic. I regret I dropped out of FS for two years and missed out on why the boys feared they had caught the disease. Smooth writing that relates the agony they felt while waiting for results.

A very informative and emotional story that you shared with the reader. After the recent discovery of lies and sexual accusations with my granddaughter and other family members, it gave me chills. Though the problems were solved in the story, and our lives, I doubt it will ever totally disappear. You did an excellent job!
Hugs, Carol

This is a well written chapter to a book I haven't seen before. I wonder why male menopause was never taught to students in reality. It could have saved many marriages, including mine. :) Thanks for enlightening us.

You are most welcome, aryr. Happy New Year to you too!
-
Again thank you so much. May I become a fan of yours? I really enjoy learning from someone as seasoned as you!
-
You're welcome, and I'd be honoured to have you as a fan. I'm not sure how "seasoned" I am as a writer though. lol
-
Yeaaaa, that is great. Oh by the way, I am Alie, those are just my initials.
-
Ok, thanks for letting me know Alie. I haven't been on here for too long, and if people use pen names for their profile, I have no idea what to call them. lol
-
Well it is so nice to meet you on this box, lol.

I love the way you broach somethings that are basically taboo in culture, I don't think my kids would ever think of their parents as sexual beings, and I don't think that bridge will ever be crossed. And for the monthly curse, it was never discussed, I like the way you have broached that Alie, well done, great write, blessings Roy
