This. Is. Excellent!
You have wtitten, here, a most visually generous series of Tetractys poems, chained like a daisy chain a young girl would weave with loving fingers to offer her mother...
Only here there are jewels of memories rooted in love, intertwining your beliv'ed Mother's spring favorites with your own recollections..
Seeng her in your mind's eye, nencumbered with the handicaps of her late day afflictions of Parkinson's, Dementia and osteoarthritis.
Your love shines through beautifully. Let us hope in heaven she is once more pain free, running along creeks framed wth angels, spying her favorite marsh marigolds!
God Bless!

Hello Karenina,
So pleased you stopped by and enjoyed my poem.
Thank you for your excellent rating and thoughtful and complimentary review.
I've not seen any marsh marigolds yet this spring, but I am looking for them!

Such a late spring! We are having a warm spell...it's even predicted we'll unseasonably hit 80 tomorrow---still no sign of crocuses or the like...

I really don't mind the grammar, I am not really strict with rules. I am more conscious with the message and I enjoyed the mother and daughter's love for flowers especially the yellow marsh marigolds. I enjoyed the read. Keep writing.

Hello nassus1957,
So pleased you enjoyed. I didn't mind the grammar, either! :) I posted that postscript after a reviewer mentioned it!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review!

This tetractys suite, Marsh Marigold Magic, is definitely a well-chosen tribute to honor your mother. The loss of what we can do and pursue can only be imagined in sad and lonely terms. What existed before and lives beyond is a testament to her spirit, and sharing of life's beauty with others.

So honored by your exceptional rating and review, Bill.
The tetractys poetic form is not everyone's favorite, but if the truth was known, I would love to publish a book of poems written exclusively in said format. Hah! I would be the only person to buy the book! But I love the challenge of telling a story using a strict syllabic count. Why? I have no idea because my second favorite poetic form is free verse! Too funny!
Thank you again, friend.

Hi Diane, this is a fantastic poem and tribute to your dear mother. Wonderful description and imagery. Fantastic use of alliteration, even in the title.

What a lovely tribute to your mother! Dreams are indeed a way of keeping our hopes and loved ones alive. Hold on to them and thank you for sharing. I lost my mom three years ago and was thinking about her this morning. Your poem was comforting.

So very beautiful and with such tender feeling. The presentation beautiful as well. I wrote a story on another site about an autistic girl living in a fairy tale world..much nicer than this world in which we live...and in it she was whole and loved by a kind boy. At the end..the doctor says she will never know the quality of life as we know it. Who judges what life is or should be? Your mother's story reminds me of this.

Hello Kerry!
You are the first reviewer to share my affinity for tetractys.. Truth be told, I would love to pen an entire book of tetractys poetry...and I could fill it...but few people would read it! :)
Thank you for your exceptional rating and complimentary review!

I'm not a flower person but this made me smile and I'm sure that your mom is smiling down upon you right you. I think you did a great job and I wouldn't change a thing.

This piece is so beautiful, and speaks from the heart! One can easily tell how much your mother meant to you by your easy gateway to her dreams. I love the way you described your mother in the first part of the piece. It's my favorite part, and seems to come easier to you than the second part...just guessing here!

Hello johnwilson,
I never fail to stop and admire marsh marigolds when I see them, but they also bring a huge sense of sadness. So in that respect, you are correct that the second part did not come easily...
Thank you ever so much for your thoughtful and kind review...
