This is really a poem and the contest was for flash fiction which is prose. The story is well written and could have been a story in a poem as is, or could have been written in prose form. The punctuation needs some work whichever way you go with it. It does need a bit more work. I wish you the best with your writing, my friend~Debbie

if you will read the requisites for the contest, it said any genre - which includes poetry.

Poetry and prose are types of forms, not genres. Genres are based on tone and content

This is a list of genres. I used to not understand the difference either, but we all learn as we write. That is why we are here. I hope this helps you, my friend. I am only trying to be helpful. I didn't have to take time to explain this, but it was only through others doing the same for me that I have grown as a writer. Take care.~Debbie

This is a good story for the 'Best Served Cold' writing prompt.
That's quite the revenge. Your story is very well told and clear. Well done.
Good luck to you with this one in the competition.

Good One!!! I love stories in a poem. Jack got a whack and deserved more than that.
Very good rhyme and story telling complimented by a cute picture of a bully. Eating the evidence was awesome. Good luck in the contest.

Cute. I like your take on revenge served "cold". Your bully was well developed and a terrible person. Well done in the rhyming and making a complete story. Good luck to you.

This is a good entry for the Best Served Cold flash fiction on revenge. I loved the rhyming approach to your story. The rhymes seemed natural, not forced, and they moved the story a long at a good pace. (But, I have always been a sucker for a story that rhymes! Love to read them aloud to kids.) Good ending with him eating the evidence! The picture you chose is a perfect fit for your story. Good luck in this competition.

You should win this contest. Your revenge is so sweet. The bully deserved lots worse than he got. I have no suggestions for improvement. You did a great job. Good luck in the competition.

A very short, complete story. Amazing.
A real accomplishment: to write a complete story in so few words.
It had a funny, clever ending.

I guess Jack wanted the bully to meat his maker.

It sounds as if Myron Smith may have learnt a lesson from this! It works well in verse, which gives a lighter touch to this macabre subject. I liked the "Mazie is lazy" internal rhyme and the realism of, "She clung to my shoulder, that cat was all claws!"

thank you for your very nice review. I also wrote it in prose, but liked this version better. You're right. It is a macabre subject - the kind of kid who might take it farther.

That Myron Smith has problems. What right did he have to barge into someone else's kitchen? Shouldn't he have knocked on the door, at least. Tells more than a little bit about Marvin. He got what he asked for - the same kind of abuse that he handed out, though he earned his demise. I hope the cat is okay. Marge

    thanks. this is fiction.

I know this is fiction, but still...it says a lot about those bullies who somehow get away with their "comedy" attempts. Consider continuing this story. Marge

thank you, Marge. I have a book out, now, about bullying. It's for middle graders, but a fun read for adults, too, as it also has some humor.
