This writer has a few sayings, "Always assume your reader is hungry for the fresh ideas a story sets forth. If he is tired he will not understand the read. If he is cold, he has no heart to act accordingly." Well, Thomas you fed me and I didn't get tired. I was cold and your words warned my heart. This is a very good read. Thank you for sharing.

Always teach someone who seeks truth, but never trust someone who says he has found it."--I love this--so very true!

This is very well written in a wonderfully easy to read story-teller style. Excellent work, my friend~Debbie

I guess I'm reading this out of order but I still like it. Sounds like the Traveler got wiser as he aged. I like how you share info about each different Native American culture. My favorite line was:
" "Always teach someone who seeks truth, but never trust someone who says he has found it."

This was a really interesting account of the Apache and some of the characteristics that The Traveler chose to highlight. that was a great story of the buffalo hide. Mythological.

Hi, Thomas

This is a very well written chapter. I found your comparison on the Apache Indians to the early Christians interesting. I would agree that their belief in the community's welfare as of utmost importance would certainly be one hallmark of that.

The idea of the reservations out west as being little more than zoos was intriguing as well. All-in-all, a particularly thoughtful chapter in my opinion.

You know, Europeans love American cowboy stories.
Old West. Indians. I do believe they have it
romanticised.

I don't often read book chapters, but this held my interest well enough. However, I was saddened that you did not
mention your own Indian name-"Bowling Ball." But then
again, I have not read, nor signed, nor smoke decoded
your other innate blood-brother chapters.

Suffice it to say, I, uh, will stay tuned when I
have time? Now Thomas, don't belly wrestle with
a laugh at my comment. You know I always have
good detentions.

Smile,

You might want to check out some Apache facts. The Apaches were divided into six groups. Some were peaceful, traders, and farmers. Some were warriors and not so nice. Those didn't get along with other tribes, not even other Apaches. I did enjoy reading.

The Traveler has a lot to say about the Indians. For one, favoring the Apache, a tribe I commonly hear mention when I watch westerns that included them, is a good choice. They seem to be an honorable tribe.

Your story continues to be a good one.
I've been on holidays for 2 weeks and don't know if I've missed anything.
I'll be catching up over the next few days.

Much wisdom encased in this story Thomas, the fact that our hero got to know the Indian rather well was a man with insight, recognising that ownership was the way of civilised man. Who had learned that possession belonged to the strongest, that everything belonged to men in common. Well done Tom, the Indian like our aboriginal were very wise.Good work, blessings, Roy
