And not just one life but the lives of many. The pain of one family brought life and tears of joy to other. Very well told, this story of love

I love that picture of the ice orchid. My oldest Daughter bought me one of those it was so beautiful, but so hard to care for. So easy to relate to your poems and stories. Did you know you are exactly 25 days older than I am according to your born info. Wonderful poem/story about your life and the miracles within. Sherman541
We were given three miracles, but the first one did not come to life. Only long enough to know that he was a son, with blond hair and blue eyes. I like to call him Adam, though my husband at the time did not want to name him, there was no funeral or mourning so to speak, as he was never mentioned by anyone.
Our second child, a daughter, Kristine Josephine was every thing you could ever ask for in a perfect baby, except she did not grow at year she weighed only 16 pounds. She walked, talked, said her colors and ABCs. She now, has one step-daughter and three lovely daughters.
Our third child, also a daughter, was born with colic also. I can so relate to your walking the floors. She also had a mild case of asthma, which did not help and I cannot count the nights I slept in the rocking chair with, Michelle Anne in my arms. She now has 4 children, two sons and two daughters.

Sorry about your son Sherman I don't know what's worse for me and the Lewis lose his son or a woman to lose her son really doesn't make much difference a loss is a loss I suppose Time Heals it but the scar runs forever very deep memories can mend with careful and well-placed thoughts but sometimes they creep up and scare thanks dr. Ricky 1024.

You are so welcome and thank you! Yes they do leave scars and have let go per say, but I just do not forget and you are right a loss is loss a son to Mother or Father or a daughter to Father or a Mother does not matter the loss is a loss or parents to their children. One that is very hard to understand :)

Interesting first stanza. Well written second and third stanza. What is colic, a disease? The emotion of the characters flow well throughout the poem. Good job

I just reviewed a piece by Sherman she's close to my age lost her first son and also had a child with colic colic is not really a disease it's like almost like an allergy to formula or milk products which causes discomfort Within the infant they do make a formula called ISO Mill you have to Google it to find out exactly what it does to relieve colic and then maybe I can understand it more all I know is it makes the child cry for 7 months of pictures were all of my daughter Karin crying cuz if there's a baby thanks for your time and review dr. Ricky another vivid poem from your pen. Sometimes life really isn't all that pleasant and offers some huge scares. You got through this one, thank goodness.
Many thanks for sharing my friend.

An exemplary expression of faith in this anecdotal poem of yours. We sometimes have to accept that miracles come in many forms, especially when we listen to our instincts and act upon them.
