This is a sad poem which I can relate to as my husband passed 17 years ago and I have missed him everyday. It is a lonely time but we have to go on with life as that is the way of life. Keep on writing with your creative pen. HUGS

The last verse doesn't seem to have any rhyme in it. Other than that, this is very well written. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme. Good luck in your contest.

The thought of a cremation makes me shiver. My mother was cremated. The funeral parlor invited the family to watch. I was so disgusted they even thought to offer. My dad went. He thought it was cool like a final farewell.

My heart cries for you, Ina. I pray you will get through this time of grief. Maybe, start online dating. It's just a thought. Great poem.

A poignant piece Ina. Sad and heartfelt. I can't imaging life without my Robert.
We discuss the possibilities sometimes and know what the other wishes but hope against hope we have a lot more time.
