Thank you for telling your story. I see you have a great fondness for mustangs. You were thorough in your explanation.
I do have a question. Why did you flip it to the comma issue at the end? That had nothing to do with the story.
That is the only thing that seems to need a little work to me. I would take it out.
I enjoy your writing and I will be looking forward to future offerings from you.

Wow - how did you manage to rate this story twice?
The exercise was for the Grammar Club - it said so on the bottom of the page -- I included the comma comments because it is my least favorite punctuation mark.
Would you please re-review my piece? Your rating seems to be based on the comma paragraphs and not the whole essay.

I was confused at first--a biographical sketch that went from mustangs to commas. Then I saw that this was an introduction to the grammar club. Changed my perspective entirely. I thought that it was the coolest intro ever. I learned a great deal about you in that little piece. I like your spunk.
Good luck in the grammar club.

I've always wanted a Mustang. I wonder what that 1968 one would be worth today? I'll bet this husband will always let you have a Mustang. lol.
I should join this club. Who is in charge of it?

Hi, Teresa;
I'm the organizer of the Grammar club. Come on and join. You can do as little or as much as you want. I will have a lesson a lesson and an assignment every week - with cool self-grading quizzes.
Thanks for the R&R - and yes, my hubby let me have all the Mustangs I wanted until my knee wouldn't let me drive a stick shift anymore,

Patty,
First of all, I enjoyed finding out the origin of your pen name. Very cool! I would love to learn that about everyone - hey! I was about to do another quiz (remember those from a while back?) and that would be a great question to ask - thanks for the inspiration. YAY!
I'm very excited about this new club and I appreciate your starting it. There's always much to consider when creating/posting a new piece and the basics (grammar, punctuation and spelling) are soooo important.
BTW, I'm glad you thought to set minimum and maximum word limits for this challenge, but I busted them all to ... well... I busted them. *smile* Please don't kick me out!! hahaha!
Thanks, again!

No, I'm still working on that post. I thought I had it in the final stages of editing today, but then my computer went nuts and I lost a lot of it. (Don't you love it when that happens?)
Anyway, still working on it. Thanks!

Patty, This is a delightful post. I felt like there must have been a Mustang or two in your life for you to use it. I am going to check out your site on here too. Blessings, Teri

Mustangs bring back good memories and one not so. I was about 6 when my dog ran across the street and a woman in her I would say 1965 purple mustang hit Sheba and dragged her up the street. She never stopped even though we were all out standing on the sidewalk. Sheba was sent to the Vet and was banged up but just fine. Phew.
After my divorce, I met a guy who had a 1967 fastback he was restoring but ended up selling because he could not get it across country to Arizona where we were moving. He had to part with that and his triumph chopper. However, kept his 1992 Low Rider Harley and left me to drive his 1968 Mustang. He moved before I did. I moved a few months after him and then we flew back and collected my sister and he drove the rider truck with her stuff and mine (I only brought clothes) we followed him in her Toyota and the Mustang was on a trailer.
Long story short, I was coming home from the hospital, my son had an ear infection and a young girl of 19 with her 18 month old son in the backseat, took a left in front of me. I had a yellow and was over the cross walk at the intersection and she just jetted out in front of me. I nailed her in the front right tire of her daddy's brand new car with no proof of insurance on her. She put her child in jeopardy to drive in front of me. Car totaled!! I thought for sure I was in deep doo doo, my boyfriend was a rager and he passed us on his way to AA, fire trucks, ambulances all in the middle of the intersection. My youngest son was hurt, I was banged up and my oldest was a little bruised.
The car was a mess. Maybe someday I will post the story of that night and a careless teenager.
I loved that car (he had restored it), so your story brought back some fun memories of driving around Mass and then Arizona in the 68.

Hi, MJ:
Thank you so much for the R&R - I am so sorry you have that bad memory of a Mustang. I cringe whenever I see one wrecked. My husband rebuilt a '68 from the ground up. It was a pretty nice car.

This is a marvelous bit of biographical fiction. I thought that your name might have something to do with the car.
How long were you in the army for? I would have liked to have been in the army. I suppose there's a lot of things that I would have liked to do, but, when you get brain damage at 14, life choices are a bit limited.
Can you tell me a bit more about this grammar club, please?

Hi there;
Thank you for the R&R. The grammar club will be a refresher course in Grammar; punctuation and the parts of speech.
I will have quizzes (with the answers) in each week's offerings and an assignment. You don't have to do all of the assignments OR any, and the quizzes are just for you to test yourself.
I was in the Army for a tad over three years, and then I worked for the Navy for another six.

Thank goodness you didn't like Cadillacs because your username would be CaddyPatti1029.
When I first started writing, I thought we got paid by the comma, so I put them everywhere. Put, them, every, where.
I like this post. It is technically sound. No errors. I think the strength of the writing is in the life details you provide.
It is personalized and shares a little bit about you, enough for readers to say, "Oh, now I see." For example, I did not know you were a veteran. Me too. I can kinda' see where you get your spunk.
I also think the club is off to a great start. I might have to shift my attention away from FS for a few weeks, but I'll consider the club when I return.
Keep writing, MP1029. I do look forward to your posts.

Hi, Dan;
Ugh, what an awful name - CaddiPatty?!? Thank you so much for the R&R. I greatly appreciate your time.
Which branch did you serve in?
The club will still be there when you get back. You can choose to do as much or as little as you choose. I will post one lesson and a self-graded quiz, and then an assignment to use the new skill,

My assumption of your pseudonym's origin was brilliant then LOL DUH!! I was glad to read you stuck to your choice of car style. I normaly don't review pros, but your title was " I JUST HAVE TO KNOW" attractive. Thanks for sharing

Hi, Trisha;
Thank you for the R&R - especially since you normally do not read prose!! I thought it was time to explain my handle. Too many folks assumed I loved the Mustang horse. I do love horses and even had a few, but my love of the car and the fact I drove one for so many years earned me the name in several places over the years.
I'm glad you enjoyed the story,
