A lasting tribute to your son, your poem resonates the never-ending love for him and the hope that what he had to give from his own body will live on in others. Nicely written.

This is about the death of Jason from his standpoint. It seems like he is telling us he is still alive but just invisible to us on Earth. Sorry for your loss
Keep writing

Comment from Dean Kuch
I'm an organ donor myself, Dr. Ricky. I think most every major organ in my body works well with the exception of my heart. A massive coronary which left me clinically dead for almost four minutes in 2010 took care of that. My heart is shot and of no use to anyone any longer, not even me!
My ailing heart pumps at 15% capacity of a normal, healthy human heart. That means I am prone to blood clots forming. If one of those suckers breaks loose it's sayonara and au revoir, cruel world, for this old boy.
It is admirable that Jason's organs were used to spare the lives of others. In a way, he lives on in those he saved.

Thanks Dean Jason's heart at age 18 went into a 56 year old man or possibly younger 14 years ago wrote me three letters including the fact that before he had the heart operation and also long you couldn't even walk on her yards without collapsing on oxygen today he runs to 7K races a year and bicycles 12K once a year and my son's name amazing story from an amazing man who was so so grateful not going to see his children graduate high school and college major professions and reclaim his management position in a Wal-Mart or someplace in Philadelphia perhaps someday thanks talk to Ricky and take care of yourself if you have ever read any of my work in 2006 twice to the heart hitting the valve three times the neck missing a jugular and then a bottle of Depakote afterwards heart attack but you're being hit on a bicycle 22 units to restore the heart brain damage also people say I'm extremely lucky to being run over on the bike should have killed me let alone in the heart attack my girlfriend says or ex-girlfriend says I have more lives than a cat.

Ricky, This is a very well written poem from your son's point of view. You used very good wording and very good imagery. It makes me so sad to read about him. I am so sorry that happened to you my friend! May God bless you as you go through each day trying to help others with the organs! Teri

Thank Barbara for stopping by again and visiting I so much enjoyed writing this one in Jason's name as I have several others in this book of fine poetry it seems to attract the reviewers they feel closer to the written piece when they see it's being created through somebody that lives above thanks Ricky
