I wish I was I won't be leaving just not posting as much and not reviewing at all i'm afraid i am tiring We are slaves to the system and just couldn't be bothered in the rankings anymore I don't think they are indicative of the best poets on this site who aren't ranked highly I feel embarrassed I was even no 6 last year.
Its been 4 and a half years every day 2 poems a day I have loved it but I have other challenges to concentrate on do you have a facebook account Dolly

No I don?t have a facebook account Dip because I don?t like social media and this is the only site I write on. I keep in touch with my family and I am well connected to then with internet, but Facebook is nothing but trouble. I do understand that Fanstory is all consuming and you shouldn?t be put under pressure to write because that?s not how you can produce good work. I wish you well Dip and will always look out for your poems, stay in touch, love Dolly x

Nah, mate. You're just feeling a bit betrayed is all, but you aren't going anywhere.
You did leave FS for an extended period before awhile back.
I for one missed your straightforward, simple poetry from the heart.
Don't allow they naysayers to bring you down.
They're simply not worth it.

Its got nothing to do with the naysayers Dean its just I am tired I just can't keep up with reviewing I will still use FanStory as a poem storage bin but I won't be promoting or reviewing so it will be totally unfair to expect people to review mine
You have been one of my closest friends on facebook one I can confide in
Maybe with a bit of breathing space absence may make the heart grow fonder again
My poems are becoming stale, boring, and monotonous
I just couldn't be bothered about the rankings I never have other than yourself some of the best poets are unranked I think the system needs a good revamp such as all time best because you get 25 reviews regardless of the poem.
I was reviewing this afternoon I was that far behind
I haven't seen my wife of a night for four and a half years and she is only sitting in the lounge room watching telly
You know how much she loves this site and my poetry..yeah right.
I have a new project and my scalpel is getting rusty lol

Well, Dip, if this could be your parting poem, it is a good one. You speak of a transition that many experience here on FanStory. Sometimes people are in ill health and they decide to leave. Other times people have outgrown FanStory and seek to improve their writing elsewhere. Using words that sound like Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 . . . ."There is a time for everything," you speak eloquently of your imagined or real parting, and know when to leave:
A time to forgive or just let go
A time to live, I think you'll know
'Time waits for no man' that's so true
A well worn cliche' to see your life through
You conclude by asking us to make the most of our time and friendship together:
No time to waste, no adventure withheld
Let's make the time to have with each other
And maybe in time we might just discover
That time is so precious we spend together
Time is our best friend, hope it's forever
This is an excellent poem. I know you have mulled in the past the idea of leaving. If so, I wish you the best and thank you for all of the feedback and encouragement you have provided me. I deeply appreciate it. Thank you for sharing your poetry and your passion which inspire me.

Andre you have been so supportive of my work. Its just that I'm getting very tired I just can't keep up with reciprocal reviewing and even promoting my work to good money value so I feel it unfair on the people who have so loyally supported me.
I have just posted on my profile thought.
I am forever grateful of your support but I am sure I'll continue to store my poems on here but won't be reviewing

Yes, Dip, reciprocal reviewing can be tiring. I can review as much as I would like to because I have to write and I have a life outside of FanStory. Have you purchased that plan to store your poems here forever?

Yes I have I thought about it for a while because I thought whats different to what I am doing now? nothing except if I left and came back they are still permanently here so I think it was worth it plus I took advantage of it when it was discounted
