Hello Ricky. You know mate I think we are all given a sacred mission upon entering our life and the journey we undertake. Everything that happens within that sacred mission just makes the journey that much more important. Your son has the right of it on this one methinks. We don't get the answers only the tiny baby steps to procuring a life that is at least tolerable. Wonderful write. xoxo Kiwi

This is a comforting poem and I like how it is written from your son Jason. Those who have passed on, have a voice in poetry. Congrats for winning the award for this poem.

How do you friend was my first poem out of hundreds of thousands it's kicked off my writing my abilities My Rewards my plaques trophies certificates my doctorate's degree it also had to start with the death of a child of only 18 three weeks afterwards on his computer is Dell computer finding a site offering $5,000 to the winter with the enough Sadia poetry I knew when to 5019 care about that as much but the recognition in the trophy was priceless plus I had a chance to present not only that beautiful poem but within a three-minute spectre I had two and a half minutes to teach people if they have a child of driving age or close to it to make sure you know who your child is Rock driving with or you would end up in my situation talk to Ricky 1024 thanks for your kind thoughts and review

First of all, Ricky, I'm sorry for the devastating loss of your son Jason. The pain and the loss never goes away. I can sense in your words of agony a struggle to understand this and to join your son:

"But dad."
"It's too soon for you."
"Dad, your time yet is not had!"
"And, even though the cards are stacked against you...
"I see you seem to have cut to the high card each and every **Time?"
...

Your son comforts you, the grieving father:

"I'm not here right now but I'm not far...
"I'm in a place...
"Close by like a Star...

Thank you for sharing your poem which must have been hard to write. I am glad it received a trophy in Washington. I am also glad you donated his organ.

I close my review with your words:

"Special thanks goes out first to Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus the Christ,"

Good morning again, Ricky: This is another bitter-sweet poem about the loss of your son. This one is short and brief but it still says much of your love for him and how we as parents find it so hard to move on after the death of any of our children. I do know this pain, my friend. I know it so dearly and I still suffer it as well. Stay strong my friend. You will see him again as God promises. Much love...

A very well-written heartfelt poem. We often wonder why someone has to go before us. We will never know the real answer, but I think we should live our lives as best we can before we are called.
